Hands-free walking
How does hands-free dog walking work?
Clip the leash to our Walking Belt, wear the belt at your waist or crossbody, and clip the other end to your dog's harness or collar.
Should I wear the belt at my waist or crossbody?
It's the same belt either way, adjustable from 29" to 53". Choose whichever feels more comfortable; you can switch any time.
Can I use the leash without the belt?
Yes. The Hands-Free Leash works three ways: on the belt at your waist, on the belt crossbody, or on its own as a handheld leash.
Do I need the Leash or the Leash & Belt Set?
The Leash is sold on its own, with no belt. The Leash & Belt Set includes both, so you can walk hands-free from day one.
What's included in the Complete Set?
The Complete Hands-Free Dog Walking Set includes the harness, leash, walking belt, Horizontal Pouch and Waste Bag Pouch, all in one color.
How do I attach the leash to the belt?
The leash has a metal screw-lock clip at each end. Attach the clip closest to the ring on the leash to the belt, and the other clip to your dog's harness or collar.
Can I walk two dogs with one belt?
Yes. The belt has D-rings on both sides, and you can attach more than one leash to it for multi-dog walks.
Sizing and fit
What size harness does my dog need?
The harness comes in XS, S and M/L. Measure your dog's neck and chest while standing, then choose the size that fits both on our Size Chart.
Is there a Large size?
M/L is our largest size (neck 12–18", chest 14–24"). It may fit some dogs at the smaller end of the Large range, but not all Large dogs.
Thin or thick leash?
Thin is 0.75" wide: lighter, and often more comfortable for small dogs. Thick is 1" wide, with a sturdier feel in the hand. Both have the same length.
How long is the leash?
41.5"–59.5" on the belt, and 32.5"–50" handheld.
The harness
Where do I clip the leash on the harness?
The harness has two leash attachment points: a front (chest) D-ring and a back D-ring. Our harness guide explains when to use each.
What is the harness made of?
A soft neoprene outer and a breathable mesh lining, with a quick-release buckle and a grab handle on the back.
Pouches
How does the Waste Bag Pouch work?
Unzip the Waste Bag Pouch, insert a standard roll of bags, and pull them out one at a time from the opening on the other side. Clip it to the ring on your belt, or to the ring on the leash when you walk handheld.
Will my phone fit in the Horizontal Pouch?
The Horizontal Pouch measures 8" x 6" x 2" in Cherry Red, Oat Beige and Espresso Brown, and 7.5" x 5" x 1.5" in Blueberry Blue. Please compare these with your phone's measurements, including its case. It attaches to the walking belt.
Care
How do I wash my LULU'S gear?
The harness, leash, walking belt, Horizontal Pouch and Waste Bag Pouch are all machine washable. Wash on a gentle cycle in cold water with a mild detergent (no bleach), and air dry only; do not tumble dry. See Product Care.
Orders, shipping and returns
How long does shipping take?
Orders typically ship within 1–3 business days. In the US, Standard Shipping ($8) takes an estimated 3–5 business days once shipped, and Express ($15) 2–3 business days. Delivery times are estimates. International rates and times are in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
What is your return policy?
Start a return within 14 days of delivery by emailing hello@lulufromcali.com. Items must be unworn, unwashed and undamaged, with tags. Sale items follow the same policy unless marked Final Sale; items discounted more than 50% are Final Sale, and gift cards are non-refundable. For orders placed on or after October 19, 2026, return shipping for non-defective returns and exchanges is paid by the customer; earlier orders follow the terms in place when they were purchased. What if my item arrives damaged or incorrect?
Email hello@lulufromcali.com as soon as possible with your order number and a photo, before sending anything back. If we ask you to return it, we cover the return shipping. See Shipping & Returns.
